This drawing touches the heart of many Cajuns; especially those of us who were raised on farms or whose grandparents were farmers. One of my chores was to shell the corn and take the corn grains off the cobs every night so we could feed the chickens in the morning. My father had a lone pigeon living at the barn for many years. The pigeon would come down from its loft to feed with the chickens. Just about everyone who has seen this drawing can relate with it.
